In the next 5 to 10 years want to have one of two things. The first thing is to have my own company for graphic design. The second thing is that I want to be in a big graphic design firm and work under someone else. For the ideal plan I would like to do something with Adobe Illustrator because it was the most enjoyable to learn. It is also the most enjoyable adobe product to use for projects for designing all kinds of things. Another thing I really enjoy is editing videos. I am super interested in learning more about video editing as a whole. I am willing learn new skills for both of them because you never know where life will take you.
For the ideal plan I’m sure which one I really want to do just yet but at the same time I’ll do both, so I have a safety net for myself. Like I said before depending how things go, I would like to have my own company. But I think the best thing would be to judge what is best. For example, it would be nice have a lot of benefits in a company job. But if I can make more money on my own, I think I don’t need to get a job. Or maybe I can do both. I think the thing that I like doing the most is talking to people and seeing what they want in terms of services.
It all depends on what I feel like doing when I finish school. Basically, what I am getting at is that I would like something to with illustrator or editing videos. My path will get clearer in the future. Which will most likely be in the next 3 to 4 years. After I am done with Graphic and Web design at John Abbott College.
